Flooding has long plagued significant portions of our city. The cause of flooding episodes is largely due to overbank flooding from the Little Calumet River, backup from local storm sewers and sewer backup.

In addition to loss of property, flooding also leads to public health consequences.

As Mayor, I will work with our engineers to develop a comprehensive flooding mitigation program.
